Hi, my name is Robert :)
I was born in 1994, and I’m a London based photojournalist whose love for capturing life began the moment I first saw an image captured on those early camera phones, amazed that a single click could hold a moment forever.
At 15 I bought my first camera, a Nikon D50, and started asking friends for portraits, learning to see stories in faces and light. Gradually I upgraded my gear, from the 18–55 kit lens to a Tamron 70–300 and later the “nifty fifty” 50mm f/1.8, which changed everything, and soon I began getting paid for shoots.
My path led me shooting weddings, couples, engagements and later on into filmmaking with a creative agency, working with professionals, models, and high-end equipment. But I soon realized I was most alive when telling real stories: raw, unfiltered moments that hold truth rather than staged perfection.
That realization pulled me toward photojournalism, a way to witness and share the world’s real stories, documenting protests, immigration struggles, conflicts, social unrest and community resilience.
For me, photojournalism is more than imagery; it’s a responsibility to capture real emotion, to give voice to those often unheard, and to preserve moments that matter. My camera isn’t just a tool.. it’s how I tell the truth, keep memory alive, and follow a lifelong passion to show people the world as it truly is.
Over the years I’ve refined not only my style but also the tools I use. Today I work primarily with two Canon 1DX Mark II bodies, supported by a Canon 6D Mark II as backup. My go-to lenses include the Sigma ART 35mm f/1.4, Sigma ART 50mm f/1.4, Sigma ART 85mm f/1.4, but always on the camera bodies are my two legendary lenses Canon 24–70mm f/2.8, and Canon 70–200mm f/2.8. This setup allows me to adapt to a wide range of situations, from portraits and storytelling moments to fast-paced, unpredictable events.
